Looking for a simple, yet tasty  treat?  How about apple crisp?  Lazy Cloud, a Wisconsin Bed & Breakfast not only knows how to relax in style but they have a really simple recipe for Apple Crisp that will let you treat yourself with only a bit of effort!  Top this crisp with a dollop of whipped cream, sit back and enjoy!  You can also try this recipe with pears instead of apples.

Lazy Apple Crisp

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a 9" x 9" pan.

Approx. 6 cups of sliced pared tart fresh apples (if you are using frozen apples, make sure they are thawed and drained before using) and put in pan.  Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of cinnamon over the apples.

Mix together with fork:

  • 1 stick of soft butter
  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Crumble this mixture over apples. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees until bubbly and golden brown.
