Carroll Villa: Banana Chocolate Chip Nut Bread Print E-mail

Save Recipe: Banana Chocolate Chip Nut Bread

While Bed & Breakfasts are known for their luscious breakfast fare, exceptional late-afternoon snacks are also a highly desirable quality.  "Banana Chocolate Chip Nut Bread" from Carroll Villa Bed & Breakfast (Cape May, New Jersey) is just that - a wonderful banana bread with the sweetness of chocolate chips and a nutty crunch.  This bread is perfect for a snack or a sweet touch to a hearty breakfast.  It's also a great way to use up any overripe bananas you may have sitting around.

Banana Chocolate Chip Nut Bread

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup pureed banana
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
Bake 50 - 60 minutes at 350 degrees in a greased and floured loaf pan.
