I love serving this in individual au gratin dishes straight from the oven for a wonderful presentation. But, no matter how you serve it this classic tastes great. Some crusty Italian bread or Herb bread and a side salad round this out for a wonderful meal.

This is one of my favorite pasta sauce recipes. You can use fresh tomatoes for this recipe but will need to par-boil, peel, de-seed them, and drain overnight to prevent the sauce from being watery. With fresh tomatoes you\'ll also need to cook it longer.
