It had been a while since I made a layer cake, and this recipe spoke to me. Amazingly straightforward and delicious. Alice Medrich truly is the queen of chocolate. Wouldn't change a thing about the recipe. Followed the instructions to the letter and it came out perfectly. Won't look for another chocolate layer cake recipe again.
