I can be a real creature of habit and I find that I do better with some structure and routine (like most overgrown kids). During the warmer months, breakfast for me usually consists of one egg scrambled with a half of grapefruit, but as soon as the temperature drops below 60 degrees I break out the Oatmeal. This recipe works great for preparing a larger quantity of oatmeal to take you through the entire wee. I'm not a huge fan of the slow cooker, but this recipe is a perfect use for it. One change I made was that I omitted the ginger, I found it to be a little too overpowering.
