    2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1⁄2 tsp. salt
  • 1⁄4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3⁄4 cup buttermilk
  • 3⁄4 cup milk
  • 1⁄3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Garnishes: butter, syrup, blueberries


Image1. Whisk together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.

2. Whisk together eggs and next 2 ingredients in a medium bowl. Add to flour mixture, and whisk just until blended. Whisk in melted butter.

3. Cook batter, in batches, in a preheated, oiled Belgian-style waffle iron until golden. (Cook times will vary.) Garnish, if desired.

Makes: 12 (4-inch) waffles Hands-on Time: 15 min. Total Time: 25 min.
