I love apple crisp and my Husband loves Rum so when we saw this recipe we knew we had to try it. And boy am I ever glad we did! This crisp is simply amazing. The raisins were flambéed which made it fun to make and let us use up some aging raisins. I'd never had quince before but they really complemented the apples. I had whipped cream ready to serve with this dish but one taste and we knew the dish was just perfect on its own...
I absolutely loved this crisp. The raisins, which were flambéed, were not only fun to make but delicious even on their own. I'd never had quince before but it really complemented the apple.
Like many people I have big plans for this Christmas Holiday, a cocktail party with the in-laws and a big Christmas Brunch for my own family. I'm stressing out enough as it is getting ready for those events so right now I feel the need to have my weeknight meals be as simple as possible. Roast chicken is a great classic dish and this Asian twist is fantastic. Simple and delicious.

Fresh Cranberries are one of those great seasonal fruits that are ushered in shortly before Thanksgiving and continue their presence well into the new year. Almost anything Cranberry with the exception of perhaps the Cosmopolitan has become synonymous with the Holiday Season. As I begin preparing my Holiday menus, I wanted something a little different than my aunt's famous lemon bars this year. When I stumbled across this recipe I thought it would be perfect. These are so simple even non-bakers like myself can pull it off. The flavor is delicious and fresh. These would be a perfect addition to any holiday menu.

Sometimes you just gotta have a steak and this recipe is great when you want to re-create that classic steakhouse meal. I always say the key to a great tasting steak is salt, pepper, and a really hot pan. The buttery flavor of the mushrooms is a perfect compliment. Team this up with a baked potato, creamed spinach and a glass of Chianti and you have got yourself one perfect meal.
