ImageRita honed her culinary and communications skills working in the test kitchens and consumer services departments of Del Monte Foods/RJR Nabisco for ten years. As a consultant, Rita draws upon her corporate experience to work with food marketers across the U.S. Her versatility ranges from food writing, to recipe slideshows for the web, to cooking demonstrations for Sunset magazine, Nakano vinegars and other clients.  Rita's kitchen mantra?  Simplicity with flavor!

Rita holds a bachelor's degree in foods & nutrition and a masters in adult education. She is active in IACP, the Association for Consumer Trends (ACT), Consumer Business Professionals of SF, and the San Francisco Professional Food Society.
